An evening onboard Goa Yacht in River Mandovi, Panaji

December is here and so are busy days, and even busier weekends. Yes, I've been working way more than usual ever since IFFI began. I believed things would get less hectic after those nine days, but it didn't. More events to attend and more stories to cover! The exhaustion did take it's toll and I fell sick. But I was out and about in four days. And plunged into more work!

But, this Tuesday evening I let my hair loose and just relaxed at the yacht by Goa Yacht's in River Mandovi. I absolutely love sunsets. The vivid sunset colour are so relaxing. Marvelling at the beautiful reds, oranges and golds of the sky during a sundowner session at the beach is one amazing experience.

The yatch ride I went on was a totally surreal experience. We boarded the two cabin yacht from a wooden dock at Brittona, just a little away from Panjim. The luxury yacht by Goa Yacht's we got on to was a spacious two-cabin yacht with air conditioning and restrooms. As the trip began, we sailed across the river, below the twin bridges and across scenic vistas crossing the beautiful heritage houses, churches and forests across Brittona, Reis Magos and Verem.

The return journey gave us a tour of the beautiful Panjim city at sunset - crossing Miramar beach, the magnificent Goa Marriott, Campal Park, Kalas jetty all the way back to the bridges and back. We did cross several other yachts, casinos and boats along the way. We further sailed towards Pomburpa, where the lush green mangrove forests on either side and clear waters welcomed us with an amazing view.

We alighted at the jetty and boarded a smaller yacht where we spent the late evening watching twinkling lights in the distance with music playing in the background as the yacht cruised around in the dark. The luxury yacht experience was indeed a memorable evening with wind in my hair and the sea churning below my feet. You can book your evening on the yacht at Goa Yacht's.
