Mobile gourmet food || SWAT Food Truck and SquareRuth Food Truck, Bangalore

At the recently concluded Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa, I ran into a food truck serving some amazing food. I spoke to one of the owners there, long story short – it was a combo of two very popular food trucks from Bangalore. So The SWAT (Serving with a Twist) and SquareRuth combined their menu for the delegates at the festival. The food truck SWAT had some last minute problem which would take time to fix, so they served their menu through the SquareRuth kitchen and outlet.

These mobile food trucks travel to several festivals across the country – including the Sunburn festival. They are a part of almost every Bangalore, and I am sure you’ve spotted the quirky maroon truck with street food written on it at the festivals. Time to go check them out if you’re in Bangalore.

Their menu looked fancy with lots of pork and beef options in burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, nachos and French fries. They had some fancy items like bacon dog, chilli meat dog, minced beef sub, salami sub, minced meat nachos, BBQ chicken wings and BBQ pork ribs and chops on their menu. It was a pity I discovered them just two days before the festival ended, but I managed to sample a bit of it!

The quantity is large and their food is super rich and cheesy. So you cannot eat more than a one and a half at a time. I did manage to try their Meat Chilli Cheese Fries, Bacon Salsa and Cheese Nachos and Pulled Pork Burger. The meat, I was told, was sourced from Bangalore.

The crisp plate of freshly made fries, seasoned with salt were generously covered with minced beef chilli and loads of cheese. The plate of tasty nachos consisted of crisp nachos with strips of bacon, served with salsa and drizzled with cheese. The Pulled Pork Burger, delicious as ever – bun filled with tangy shredded pork in sauces, veggies and cheese was definitely the best burger I’ve had in the longest time.
