Downtown Pub & Bistro, Porvorim Goa launch

I suffer from #FOMO, so I went on a Wednesday night to check this cool new party destination in town! With little expectations I enter this uptown pub right across the Panjim-Mapusa highway in Porvorim, right next to Nero Barcode - Downtown Pub & Bistro.

The minimalistic and quirky decor creates a great vibe. I absolutely loved the urban modern interiors with comfy leather couches and high chairs, fully stocked bar and wooden furniture. The quirky wall hangings and paintings at Downtown Pub & Bistro adds to the entire look. A place I'd love to chill at, unwinding over cocktails with a bunch of crazy friends.

The launch of Downtown Pub & Bistro saw the crowd enjoying themselves to freely flowing sangrias, cocktails and scrumptious food. I did opt for a sangria while my friends chose to go for mocktails and cocktails. Food is same as the Nero Barcode food - probably because it's the same kitchen.

I did try from the range of starters they have on their menu. The garlic mustard prawns - juicy and delicious, flavoured just right for my liking. The veg croquettes though soft, lacked the crunch, but quite filling for the night. I couldn't help getting a second serving of the fish tacos, though messy, they were sumptuous - the right amount of flavour and crunch. The fried chicken was definitely the best I've had, I absolutely loved it.

As the night progressed, the enthusiastic crowd moved to the dance floor grooving to cool EDM sets played by DJ Navin, AK47 and DJ Sherylyn. All in all it was a great night at Downtown Pub & Bistro.

This pub is ideal for throwing a small party with a bunch of cool friends. Also, a great place to head to before hitting the club over the weekend. The drinks are comparatively cheaper, so definitely better. And paired with some good food and music can set the mood for the night. Downtown Pub & Bistro is conveniently located right in that part of Goa where there isn't one pub - Porvorim. Yayyh! New pub in town!!!
