10 Beauty Essentials for Every College-Going Girl

Hey girls. It's that time of the year that we go back to college. Oh! Did I just say 'we'? Damn! No, it's 'you'. After five awesome years in college, I can't go any longer. It does sadden me. I recall the excitement and the fun the first week would be. But I can't go back. So I'd like to say just one thing, make the most of your college life. It's just those three-five years. You can't get them back later. As much as I wish I could go back, I know I never can. *sob sob*

Your college years really are the best years of your life. It is a period of exciting crushes, making amazing best friends, going out way more than you did in school and studying, of course! You also want to look your best – but on a budget, without compromising on quality. Here are the basic college-girl beauty essentials to help you look fab even after a late night of studying or an endless phone call and even through an embarrassing breakout. These products will see you through the next few years!

FACE

#1 Cleanser
The most basic item you'd need is a good acne clearing oil-free cleanser. May it be on your first day of college or an important college event, you need to look fresh. Washing your face is obviously the first and the last thing you do in your beauty and skincare regime.

#2 Cleansing Wipes
Bunking class to go watch a movie? Have a date straight after college? You need some cleansing wipes handy to bloat the excess oil and dirt on your face at any time of the day. They also come in handy when you do not have the time or resources to wash your face.

#3 Moisturizer
A good moisturizer is very important to keep you face looking fresh and hydrated. Pick up something that has SPF 30 and above to protect your skin from UV rays. If not, just pick up a sunscreen and a moisturizer alongside.

#4 BB Cream
The BB Cream is an absolute saviour when it comes to getting a clear face. You can just cover up minor spots and acne with a layer of BB cream and have glowing makeup finish look. You can pick up a thick or thin cream depending on the amount of coverage you are looking for.

#5 Compact Powder
This is another essential beauty product you need to drop in your college bag. You can use it to touch up your makeup, bloat up excess oil or just dab it on when you feel sticky and want a clearer looking face. Also, the mirror in there comes handy at all times.

BODY

#6 Fragrant Deo
A deodorant is a must-have for a college going girl. You do not want to be smelling bad. Spraying some deo spray before you leave for college will make you feel fresh. Also spraying up by mid-day when you feel all sticky and smelly can definitely make you smell so much better.

EYES

#7 Kajal
Dark kohl lined eyes doesn't only define your eyes and makes you look pretty, but also helps cover puffiness and sleepless night. To cover puffiness you can just use a nude kajal instead of black. Also, if you aren't in for black, you have so many colour options in kajals ranging from royal blue to deep green to white.

#8 Mascara
Who doesn't want those long, perfectly curled lashes? A good mascara definitely comes in handy at such times. You can surely be the diva in college by subtly betting your perfect eyelashes!

LIPS

#9 Lip balm
A quality lip balm is a must have for every college going girl. It's your best friend during winters, but you sure do need it all year round. Investing in a couple of good lip balm options is a great thing to do.

#10 Lipsticks
A few shades of lipsticks are needed in your college beauty essentials kit. On days when you are running late or are just too lazy to do your makeup, a lipstick can brighten your face. Also college events, dates and everything else about your college life is incomplete without lipsticks.

These were some essential beauty products for a college going girl. Invest in them wisely keeping in mind your budget, skin tone, complexion and skin type. Not everything suits your skin and face type. Since you will be using makeup on a daily basis, also check for quality. You do not want your face ruined at the end of your college years.
