Italian Breakfast at Indian Kaffe Express, Pondicherry

Considering I love reading, I always make it a point to carry a book when I travel. Preferably a romance fiction! This post is about the morning I spent indulging in sumptuous Italian breakfast as I sipped on my cappuccino and read to my heart’s content.

Finding quaint little places to read is difficult. I love reading in bed. But finding a place outdoors where I can just inhale the aroma of coffee and soak in my book is indeed wonderful. This reminds me of the evening I spent laying on the rocks reading at the beach while waiting for sunset at Om Beach, Gokarna. Fast forward to a year and a half later, I find myself enjoying my morning at Indian Kaffe Express.

Hidden behind a canopy of trees, at a corner in the magnificent French Colony, very close to the beach, on a street called Rue Dumas, Indian Kaffe Express emanates an old-school charm. As you set foot inside the cafe, the whiff of coffee brewing is enough to get you started for a beautiful morning.
Indian Kaffe Express has wooden furniture and a brick wall on one side while the other is white with paintings and crafts hanging from it. It is small, perfectly lit and gives a very warm vibe that can easily brighten your mood.

Indian Kaffe Express is known for its breakfast menu and serves continental and Indian breakfast with a variety of coffees. It is a perfect blend of Eauropean and Indian in a corner of India that is forever France.

The cappuccino was served quickly. It was not until a while later that the breakfast was served. Fluffy pancakes with maple syrup and waffles with caramelized bananas and whipped cream were served. The waffles were perfectly done to satiate a waffle lover!

I’d surely recommend Indian Kaffe Express for the Italian breakfast and coffee lovers! Tell me how you liked the experience if you stop by during your Pondicherry visit.
