Hampi Lookbook - Gypsy Stylefile

I have traveled to lot of places within India, but I have never experienced such a moment where time comes to a standstill. It is a walk through the forgotten Vijayanagar Empire that once existed. Hampi is a place where you can spend weird amount of time looking at randomly balanced stone boulders all around. The place is a photographers delight - the landscapes, the ruins, the weird arrangement are the main attractions for any photographer.

Since I had visited Hampi during the summers, I chose clothes varying from kurtis to dresses, all in light cotton fabric. Almost everyone out there wore minimal clothing owing to the hot weather. So I pretty well gelled in with the crowd with what I wore. The gold sandals from StreetStyleStore.com succeeded in adding the bling!

I am usually a shorts and crop top kinda person. So I decided to avoid shorts and instead experiment with something different and comfortable at the same time. So it was dresses, kurtis and harem pants instead! And again, most of the clothes and accessories are got from Street Shops from different parts of India i.e. Bandra Road Mumbai, Colaba Causeway Mumbai, Sarojini Nagar Market Delhi, Goa beaches and Mapusa Friday market, Commercial Street Bangalore, Fashion Street Pune and Mangalore.

A printed harem pant and coordinated scarf over a grey basic tee for my day out exploring the ruins. Black sunnies, earrings and beaded chain to complete the look.

Spent a relaxed evening at the river side wearing this colour blocked T-shirt dress with earrings and sunnies.

Went really simple with this orange gypsy kurta and snake skin leggings for the nightout. Felt very comfortable wearing this simple ensemble.

Rugged jeans and this airy printed blue kurti with cutwork detailing on the shoulder and hemline, with brown sunnies, star chain, sling bag and scarf to complete the look for a day out exploring the boulderland.

This breezy blue dress for the day was such a good choice. Simple strappy, just the right length and comfy fittings, it was totally worth wearing on a hot afternoon.

A simple kurta with jeggings and sunnies is what completed this look.
