Snackies || Burger Story III

It was another one of those Saturdays I skipped breakkie and headed for a mini brunch at Snackies with my friend David. Staying away from home, my Goan buddies and the food we eat is a solace. I don’t know how I’d survived here without them. But now with my fourth Semester almost coming to an end and having left with only three and a half more months to spend in Mangalore before I set foot in a new world, it excites me and encourages me to try out new places - places which I haven’t tried before.

Snackies was suggested by a junior at college. We were almost starving by noon and we quickly went through our food and ordered. They serve a variety of snacks, pastries and milkshakes. The chocolate brownie on the menu seemed fascinating, but I was informed it wasn’t available. My bad!

We settled in for a Chicken Spring Roll and Cheese Chicken Burger. Washed it down with a glass of Chocolate Milkshake and Strawberry Milkshake before we rushed back to complete the pending work we had left midway.

The burger was freshly made. With a slice of cheese, veggies, chicken fillet and loads of mayonnaise in between the bun, it was delicious. The Chicken Spring Roll was pretty delightful too. Crunchy but soft enough roll with chicken fillings made every bite very tasty. The milkshakes were made of ice-cream and could be easily mistaken for a choco-smoothie.

The place is definitely recommended for a quick bite. It is always crowded probably because people love the food. Value for money!
