Labello Lip Butter Raspberry Rose Review

When I was gifted Labello Lip Butter Raspberry Rose, I thought it is a duplicate of Nivea. So I googled to find out about the product and company. Labello means ‘beautiful lips’ in Latin and is manufactured by Beiersdorf, the same company that manufactures Nivea products. Even though I have used two of the Nivea lip balms, it was my first time using Labello.

I usually avoid lip butters and balms with a fragrance. But Labello Lip Butter Raspberry Rose smells heavenly.  It has a fresh raspberry fragrance, but the scent wears off within a few minutes of application. Even though the fragrance is strong, it is pleasant and fruity. It has a very soothing effect.

Labello Lip Butter Raspberry Rose comes in an attractive tin tub and feels soft, thick and creamy. It is pale pink in colour and looks very cute. The lid is firm and there is no tension of product leakage while travelling. Also the pot is round and flat, so can be easily slipped into Jeans pocket or handbag/ slingbag. Since it comes in a pot, the packing might get a little messy and look unhygienic if not taken care of properly.

Labello Lip Butter Raspberry Rose needs to be applied with fingers and blended well on application. It leaves a whitish tint on the lips and you are likely to look washed out if you are wearing only this while going out. A wise choice is to use it as a base for lipstick or gloss.

Labello Lip Butter Raspberry Rose moisturises and hydrates my lips and makes them feel smooth and soft. It doesn’t taste like anything and has a creamy texture when applied on the lips. It lasts for a long time and does a pretty good job.

Price: 9.75 UAE Dirhams (Rs. 176/-) for 16.7 g / 19 ml
