In case you are in Mangalore over the weekend, the delectable breakfast at this place is a must try. I had heard about their sumptuous breakfast brunches and the waffles and pancakes seemed tempting. So today I went to Diesel Cafe to have the waffles and pancakes. I am in love with the place and the food!
Diesel Cafe is easy to locate- situated in Hotel Prestige at Balmatta Road, Mangalore. The Italian Cafe has a variety of pastas, burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, grills and desserts to choose from. The ambience is great, with a decent crowd.
The service is good and I loved the setting. There is free wifi, great music playing and a very cheerful vibe to the place. Perfect for a date or to hang out with a small group of friends. Not to forget, the lighting is perfect to click some great selfies. And there is also a full length mirror on one wall where I clicked selfies *wink*
What we ordered? Classic American Pancake, Double Chocolate and Nutella Chip Pancake, Original Butter Waffle, Belgian Chocolate and Cashewnut Waffle.
The Double Chocolate and Nutella Chip Pancake was soft, melted in the mouth and left chocolate lovers reeling with happiness. For a chocolate lover like me, it was heavenly!
The Classic American Pancake was soft, fluffy and had just the right amount of flavor blended to give the perfect taste. Didn’t really like it as much as the others.
I loved the way the food was presented. The waffles were topped with fruits and whipped cream and served with an option of honey and maple syrup.
The Belgian Chocolate Waffle was perfect, with the right amount of crispiness, topped with generous amount of chocolate and nuts that blends in your mouth and gives you foodgasms with every bite.
The Original Butter Waffle, served with a generous amount of rich soft butter will leave your tastebuds tingling. Even though I am a chocolate fan, I loved the Original Butter Waffle and will definitely go again for more.
