The new look

I love change. And when I say that, I mean I am game for anything insanely weird. So I chopped my gorgeous tresses off. Why? Because I felt like it! If I had let them grow for a bit they’d definitely reach my waist within the next three months. But apparently I wanted a change!
Well, so I got a new look. The next thing I did was, stare at myself in the mirror for a few hours and wonder whether that is really me. I began getting all kinda negative feedback that my long locks was what made me look pretty, and I am no longer pretty since I cropped them.

I was annoyed, rather fed up listening to everyone tell me I can’t pull this look off. And thus began a tryst to work out an ensemble that would suit my short-hair-look just right.

I knew I needed to get something chic and trendy for a shoot. My search ended when I came across this little crop top on I knew it would suit me just right and I went ahead and ordered it without much thinking. It was delivered a week later and I fell in love with it.

I styled the black and white crop top from with my all time favourite high waist jeans, a pair of ankle high gladiator sandals and Rayban wayfarers. Dark red lips and smokey eyes completed the classy look.

I met up Trevor Kenneth Pinto of Out Of The Box who is well known for his unique concept shoots in Goa. Together we conceptualized this shoot and got the gorgeous Tracy to do the makeup. As I walked along the streets in the capital city of Goa, Trevor pretended to be a stalker and went click click click as passerby’s stopped by to admire I don’t know what!

Let me share a few photographs of the fun street photography shoot we did. Feel free to comment in the comments box below.

I liked the makeup Tracy did for me. So I asked her how she managed to give me the look so quickly and she was glad to share the steps with me. And I am happy to share them with you. Keep reading.

Tracy says, “I started with priming the face, followed by applying foundation and concealing the under-eyes and blending it really well. Then I set the entire look with translucent powder.
I used eyebrow pencil to fill the brows. Then applied liquid liner to the upper lashline and kohl to the lower lashline and waterline. I added finishing touches to the eyes by applying volumizing mascara.
I used ash colour as the lid colour and for the outer v and half way to the crease used matte black eye shadow. For inner corner I used the white and used the same for highlights below the brow.
Later I added a bit of blush on the apples of her cheeks and highlighted the bridge of the nose, cupid bow chin, centre of the forhead and just a little above the brows. The look was complete with a dark red lipstick. This is a very simple matte look that can be achieved real quick!”
